FlyOver Iceland
An 8-minute motion-flight cinema ride over Iceland — glaciers, volcanos, fjords, and waterfalls — with synchronised wind, mist, and scent effects. 35 minutes total at Grandi.
About this tour
FlyOver Iceland is the same flying-theatre concept that runs in Vancouver and Las Vegas — you sit in a suspended chair facing a 20-metre dome screen, and the seat tilts and dips with the footage while wind, mist, and a scent of moss are pumped in. Eight minutes is short, but it's an aerial perspective on Iceland that even helicopter tours can't match. Pairs naturally with Lava Show four minutes' walk away.
What's planned
Arrive at FlyOver Iceland, Fiskislóð 43
10 minGrandi harbour district, 12 minutes east of Harpa on foot. Check in at the desk; the lobby has the gift shop and a small café.

FlyOver — the ride
8 minStrap into your suspended seat in front of the 20-metre dome. The film flies over Iceland — Vatnajökull, Dettifoss, Jökulsárlón, the Westfjords, the highlands — with synchronised wind, mist, and scent effects timed to the footage.
